Woodridge Police Chief Drops V&T Tickets Against Hatzolah

WOODRIDGE – The Woodridge Village Police Department has dismissed the traffic tickets against two Hatzolah EMTs who responded to a health emergency call at Village Hall on Wednesday evening with red lights flashing on their vehicles.

Police Chief John Calvello has sent Hatzolah CEO Rabbi David Cohen a letter saying the charges have been dropped and while Cohen said that was a wise decision, he still wants more. Specifically, he wants a written letter of apology to the two volunteers and the agency and a commitment that it will never happen again.

The chief reportedly issued the tickets under the direction of a village trustee who was on the scene when the EMTs arrived.
