Most people accept that taunting alligators with sticks is not a safe idea but one Ohio man learnt this lesson the hard way.
During a live alligator show at the Cuyahoga County Fair, a handler amazes a crowd of families by putting his hand in the creature’s mouth.
However, moments later, the gator twists its head round and sinks its jaw into the man’s arm to the horror of the spectators.
The attack happened during the Kachunga & Alligator Show, whose website asks people to ‘imagine the thrill of watching a man pit his strength and agility against nine feet 300 Ibs. of lashing tail and gnashing jaws.’
