Yuri Foreman: Boxer and Future Rabbi

Rabbi Yuri Foreman and his beautiful wife Leyla Leidecker

New York - Many fans know Yuri Foreman, 31, for his work in the boxing ring. The highlight of his career so far -- and it's a biggie -- was beating Daniel Santos in 2009 to become the WBA light middleweight champion of the world.

But when the former champ is not training to fight again, he is hard at work studying to be a rabbi. He is now about six months away from becoming a rabbi. During the course of his studies, he said he realized there are a lot of similarities between his life as a boxer and his spiritual life.

Once he becomes a rabbi, he will continue to train as a boxer. And who knows he may once again may become world champ.

In the meantime, Yuri has another goal he wants to accomplish: to make a difference in the lives of young people.

  1. The rabbi should tell his wife to wear a shirt where we can't see her bra.
