BROOKLYN - A small fire broke out at a synagogue in Brooklyn Friday evening, officials said.
About a hundred firefighters responded to the two-alarm fire at 1679 West 1st Street in the Midwood section of the borough.
The FDNY got water on the flames very quickly and got in under control, officials said.
The fire had broken out in the basement of the synagogue, a chief said.
No one was hurt, the FDNY said.
