NYPD Detective Thomas Handley arrested for drunk driving after flipping car on BQE

An NYPD Detective was arrested for drunk driving late Thursday night after he flipped his car on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway, cops said.

Det. Thomas Handley of the 90th Precinct in Williamsburg was charged with driving while intoxicated after the accident about 11:30 p.m., police said.

Though the wreck on the BQE looked terrible, cops said Handley's injuries were minor.

Handley, who was off duty at the time of the crash, has been suspended, officials said.

  2. Don't believe everything you read. He never should have be charged with DUI. I know it and the cops know it.
