'Do you want to yell or do you want an interview?' Donald Rumsfeld's explosive with Al Jazeera

Donald Rumsfeld giving A interview With radical Islamists TV Al Jazeera

He delivered uncharacteristic praise of Al Jazeera just last week.

But a newly-released interview with the Arabic network's English channel shows former U.S. defence secretary Donald Rumsfeld giving an explosive critique of D.C. bureau chief Abderrahim Foukara.

Mr Rumsfeld, asked by the journalist about the Iraq war, at one point fumed: 'Do you want to yell or do you want an interview?'

The interview was taped last Thursday, the same day Mr Rumsfeld spoke to Al Jazeera's David Frost, during which he said he was 'delighted' by the network's success.

The comment was a sharp turn from Mr Rumsfeld's criticism of Al-Jazeera during his tenure with the Bush administration, which viewed the network as a propaganda arm of radical Islamists.
