Yom Kippur Observed Around NYC

Yom Kippur, which is also known as Day of Atonement, is the holiest day on the Jewish calendar and is being observed around the city.

Local synagogues were packed with worshippers to observe the day with a 25-hour period of fasting and prayer.

Worshippers ask for atonement and repentance and promise to live better lives in the coming year.
