Stuyvesant High School Students' Offensive Rap Video

Stuyvesant High School Students' Offensive Rap Video: MyFoxNY.com

Stuyvesant High School students apparently recorded a racist, anti-Semitic rap video and posted it on Facebook. The video shows some students rapping sexually explicit and racially charged lyrics.

Some sample lyrics include: "You some whack [expletive] chillin' in the projects. Mothers jump to fathers like Frogger… Stereotypical black yeah she's kinda loud, but when it's black American day she's not proud I know that you come from the whack town, kinda rich, your trynna act too black but your just a white [expletive] in the inside."

The students who recorded the song posted it on Facebook, and it didn't take long for Alexis Marie Wint, who once attended Stuyvesant High School, to notice it.

She is now a sophomore at Bard College in Upstate New York. She said when she saw the video, she was disgusted so she posted it on YouTube to bring attention to it.

Alexis left Stuyvesant after three years. She said her grades suffered and she blames racism in the school.

The Department of Education told Fox 5 that Stuyvesant is one of the top public high schools in the city and students have to pass an academic test to get accepted.

The student population is 71.6 percent Asian, 24.1 percent white, 2.9 percent Hispanic, and 1.2 percent black.

Fox 5 called the school principal and stopped by the school to try and talk with him about the controversial video, but he refused to comment.
