On the one hand, Gal Gadot's announcement – that she's
signed with Warner Bros. to play the title role in three future Wonder Woman
movies – is impressive. But the salary she's getting for the three starring
roles - $300,000 each – seems remarkably low. Still, it's Hollywood.
The gorgeous Gadot, a former Miss Israel who plays Giselle
in the "Fast and Furious" movie series, was recently signed to play
Wonder Woman as a supporting character in the next Batman-Superman film, the
sequel to "Man of Steel."
But with the three-picture deal to star as Wonder Woman,
which she announced Wednesday night on the Israeli celeb show "Good
Evening With Guy Pines," it's fair to say she now owns the part.
Gadot, 28, married, mother of a baby girl and still a top
model, says her two years in the Israel Defense Forces has served her well in
"Fast and Furious," in which she does all her own stunts.
Asked why she thought she won out over her competition for
the role of Giselle, she has said, "I think the main reason was that [director]
Justin Lin really liked that I was in the military, and he wanted to use my
knowledge of weapons."
