A deranged man with a loaded rifle was arrested in Kips Bay
Friday morning after his mother found notes in their upstate home that
threatened former President George W. Bush, police sources said.
The suspect was stopped by the Secret Service and the NYPD,
law enforcement sources told the Post. He was nabbed on Lexington Avenue near
30th Street around 5:30 a.m.
The suspect made his way to the city from Plattsburgh.
The
Secret Service recovered the rifle from his vehicle. The NYPD assisted in the
capture but the Secret Service took him into custody, the sources said.
The investigation is ongoing.
