Nachman Berland arrested again for making threats

The son of fugitive Breslov rabbi Eliezer Berland was arrested again, this time for making threats, according to police reports in Israel.

Nachman Berland, who was released from jail the day before the Rosh Hashanah holiday to house arrest, will spend Yom Kippur in prison.

Berland was arrested along with one of his associates on suspicion of conspiracy to commit a crime and making threats. According to the police, the two threatened an unnamed person.

This morning they were brought to the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court for a bail hearing, where their detention was extended by three days, until next Monday.

As we reported earlier, the son of fugitive Breslov Rabbi Eliezer Berland, Nachman Berland, was arrested and will be charged with fraud and money laundering, according to police reports in Israel.

Berland was arrested today along with six others on suspicion of fraud and money laundering the assets of an institution in Jerusalem. Berland's detention was extended for four days by the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court.
