A man is wanted by police for sexually assaulting a woman after she walked through the turnstile in a Harlem subway station early Thursday morning.

The 25-year-old victim was attacked at the 135th St. Station on St. Nicholas Ave. around 5:20 a.m., police said.

The suspect — described by cops as a light-skinned black male, 20 to 25 years old, around 5-feet-9 with a thin build — ran up to the woman, groped her and attempted to rape her before fleeing on foot, according to police.

The victim was treated for her injuries at a nearby hospital, cops said.

Officials released surveillance photos of the suspect who was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt with white lettering on the front.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
