Escaped criminal Dan Cohen, a former district court judge, has been returned to Israel, News1 reports. Cohen fled the country in 2005 after being questioned on suspicion of bribery. He was extradited by Peru and brought back Sunday morning by Peruvian police.
Cohen is believed to have knowledge of several bribery-related crimes involving the Electric Company. He may reach a plea bargain with prosecutors under which he would provide information to investigators – potentially sparking a new corruption scandal.
