CONEY ISLAND - Four people were shot one fatally at a Brooklyn housing project Friday afternoon, police sources said.
Three men and one woman were all hit when gunfire erupted at the Gravesend Houses on W. 33rd St. in Coney Island shortly before 4 p.m., the sources said.
One man died at the scene.
Emergency workers rushed the other three victims to Lutheran Hospital, where one man was in critical condition. The other man and the woman were expected to survive.
Cops were hunting for a man and woman — both believed to be in their 20s — who fled into a nearby building after the shooting.
It was not immediately clear what sparked the violence.
