A 66-year-old family law attorney who spent her life trying to help the neediest during times of legal crisis has been found murdered in her office in Lakewood, Colorado.
Police are looking for 52-year-old Warren Dale Watson in connection with the death of Claudia Miller, a mother of two, on Tuesday night.
Mr Watson was spotted on surveillance video at a Walmart store using Miller's credit cards.
The family of Claudia Miller are in shock after her death.
'Claudia was a loving sister, mother, and grandmother, who dedicated her life to helping others,' the family said in a statement.
'In over 30 years practicing law, she committed herself to helping people navigate a complex legal system, in times of family crisis, when they needed help most.
'She spent most of her spare time with her adoring grandchildren and friends, and was an avid Broncos and Rockies fan.'
'Claudia is survived by two children, three grandchildren, two sisters and many, many other dear friends and relatives who will miss her dearly.'
Her body was discovered by a cleaning crew on Tuesday night in the office building whwere her family-law practice was located, according to KUSA-TV.
Though the cause of her death hasn't been officially announced, investigators say the body had suffered 'some trauma.'
It is not known what relationship she had, if any, with Mr Watson.
Her car, a 2012 Honda Accord, was stolen from the crime scene and police recovered it in north Denver.
Surveillance video from the discount store showed Watson purchasing items with Miller's credit cards.
He is wanted on previous charges unrelated to Miller's death.
Police have asked for the public's help in locating Watson.
