Jewish mortuary fire in Crumpsall to be investigated

The fire service is investigating whether a fire at a Greater Manchester mortuary was started deliberately.

Crews were called to the Jewish mortuary at North Manchester General Hospital, Crumpsall at 15:10 GMT on Thursday.

The blaze, involving the roof of the single-storey building, was tackled by four firefighters using two hose reels.

A thermal imaging camera, a door ram and ladders were also used by fire crews at the scene.
