NYS troopers accused of biker crackdown

NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) - Video of a New York State Trooper pulling over two motorcyclists can be heard saying there is a crackdown on bikers following the vicious beating of an SUV driver in Manhattan.

One of the bikers tells the officer his helmet camera is off when in fact it is recording.

In the video, the trooper tells the pair "anything over five over the speed limit you guys are going to get stopped. Because of what happened in New York City this is what they’re doing… if I stop you again it’s not going to be pretty."

Last month, Alexien Lien was beaten in a motorcycle gang assault in front of his wife and two-year-old daughter.

A spokesman for New York State Police has reportedly said there is no connection between the incident in Washington Heights and recent biker ticketing.
