Report: Pakistani Taliban Operative in United States?
Senior U.S. officials are worried about intelligence that indicated the Pakistani Taliban may have placed another operative inside the United States to launch a second attack, Fox News reported Friday.
The problem is, however, that officials have very information about the operative or the objective, the report indicated.
"[We] don't know who it is and don't know where it is," one source told Fox News. "We know the guy's here, but don't know anything about him."
The Pakistani Taliban orchestrated the attempted bombing of Times Square in May, federal officials said. Faisal Shahzad, the man convicted of carrying out that plot, is in federal prison.
The Fox News report said that the Pakistani Taliban may have set up this second sleeper agent somewhere in the U.S. to carry out a Times Square-style attack -- but not necessarily in New York.
