IRVINGTON, N.J. –
Crime didn’t take a holiday early Christmas morning.
Five people were shot just after midnight outside Slick’s
GoGo Bar on Nye Avenue.
There have been no arrests so far, and the circumstances of
the shooting aren’t clear. One report suggests the gunman was challenged by a
bouncer who discovered he had a gun as he tried to get into the club.
The man
then started firing, killing three people: the bouncer, a relative of the
club’s owner and possibly even one of the gunman’s own friends, 1010 WINS
reported.
Alfred Lawson, who lives nearby, told 1010 WINS he never
goes to the bars in the neighborhood because they’re too dangerous.
