An assault occurred this past Saturday afternoon in Midwood, Brooklyn. This incident happened Elm Avenue and East 12th street.

Councilman–elect Chaim Deutsch advises the community to remain vigilant and says in a press release that the incident is a “knockout” attack. The official NYPD flyer is posted below, and lists the incident as an assault.

A young woman and her child were walking along Elm Avenue when she was punched from behind after her attacker passed her. The attacker is described as a clean shaven dark skin male with a roundish face, medium build, 5’7– 5’9 in height, approximately 30-35 years old, 170-185 lbs, wearing a black wool ski cap, short braids coming out of the back of the cap, a dark green nylon jacket and dark baggy jeans.
