The facade of a building housing a Chabad Yeshiva in Givat
Shaul, an ultra-orthodox neighborhood in Jerusalem, was defaced by an unknown
assailant, who scrawled “Chabad = Swastika symbol” on it.
The words “Buz Chabad” (meaning: contempt or Shame for
Chabad) were also spray painted on a sign advertising the Yeshiva’s name –
Nishmasa D’oraisa. The Yeshiva’s phone numbers were blotted out.
It is believed that the perpetrator is an extremist member
of the area’s ultra-orthodox community, who was unhappy about the opening of a
Chabad Yeshiva in the neighborhood.
