Police stopped George Zimmerman for speeding in Forney, TX
on Sunday. He had a gun in his glove compartment.
According to inForney.com, Zimmerman was stopped by the
Forney Police Department on U.S Highway 80 west just past Farm to Market 548 in
Forney.
Earlier in July, a jury acquitted Zimmerman of manslaughter and
third-degree murder charges in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin.
Zimmerman received a verbal warning after the officer
checked his record for any warrants.
In police dashcam video, Zimmerman informed the officer
about a firearm in his glove compartment at the beginning of the stop. After
showing the officer the firearm, Zimmerman was asked where he was heading.
Zimmerman replied, "nowhere in particular." When asked why he didn't
know where he was heading, Zimmerman responded, "you didn't see my
name?"
"Wow, what a coincidence," the officer responded.
