Statue of Liberty, tugboat overturns 3 people rescued

Three crew members were pulled from the water near the Statue of Liberty Friday after a tugboat overturned, authorities said.

Sources said officers from the NYPD Harbor Unit helped pull the three workers from the drink after the vessel capsized in New York Harbor about 9:45 a.m.

It was not immediately clear if the three people were injured or if they were taken to a hospital.

The cause of the accident was under investigation.
