NYPD detective busted after Queens hit-run

An off-duty NYPD detective was arrested after slamming his car into an elderly woman and fleeing the scene last week, police sources said.

Michael Fantroy, 42, was driving his personal car when he allegedly struck the 82-year-old victim on Hollis Avenue and 199 Street in Queens at 10:15 p.m. April 15, sources said. The victim was rushed to Jamaica Hospital where she remains in stable condition.

Cops were able to track down the hit-and-run driver after a witness at the scene noted the license plate number of the vehicle.

Fantroy has been suspended without pay and has been placed on modified duty..
