Jewish man stabbed in Jerusalem

A Jewish man in his 30s was stabbed in the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Ras al-Amud on Friday evening.

Magen David Adom paramedics were called to the scene and rushed him to the Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem. His condition was defined as moderate.

According to available details, the man's assailants were two Palestinian youths, who fled the scene. Security forces are canvassing the area for them.

Authorities believe the attack was nationalistically motivated.

In his initial testimony, given to the police right after the attack, the man said he was walking down the street when he felt a harsh blow and searing pain in his back – which turned out to be a stab wound.

An eyewitness said that the man was walking in the street with another man, on their way to meet a third man in nearby Ma'ale HaZeitim neighborhood, when the two assailants attack him, stabbed him in his lower back and fled the scene.

The two Jewish men were able to get to Ma'ale HaZeitim, when MDA paramedics arrived.

MDA spokesman Zaki Heller told Ynet that, "MDA Jerusalem received a call about a stabbing in Ras al-Amud.

"When the paramedics arrived at the scene, they found a man bleeding from a deep stab wound to the torso. He was fully conscious and was treated on the scene before being taken to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in stable condition."

Also on Friday, "price tag" graffiti and a partially burnt car were found in the West Bank village of Burqa, east of Ramallah.

The graffiti read "Price Tag" and "Migron in knitting kippahs."

Security forces are canvassing the area for the perpetrators.
