NEW YORK - An
off-duty New York City police officer has been arrested and charged with
attempted rape.
The NYPD on Wednesday also charged Peter Ciollo, 29, with
endangering the welfare of a child and sexual abuse.
Police say the victim was an underage female known to the
officer.
The alleged attack occurred on Staten Island, but police did
not say when.
It wasn't immediately known if Ciollo had an attorney.
