All we can hope, along with her family, is that she is found safe and sound. Sadly, this may not be the case. A college student by the name of Rachel Cook went missing when I was in college. She went out for a jog near her Austin home and never came back. It's been 10 years at least and they've never found her.
My Forensics professor in college told our class that most people who go missing and are never found are buried somewhere and unless someone talks, they will remain missing. It's sad. I would go crazy if this happened to my loved one.
4:15 am walking home bare foot from a party ALONE !!! Can you put a target or bulls eye on to get in trouble !!! All of these girls need to be in groups of four or more in this situation. There will always be some lonely clown (in Indiana or anywhere) who will screw up a life for a few moments of being a jerk. I can only hope that the girl is found alive and the clown gets some "street justice"
My thoughts and prayers go out to the Spierer family. I'm appalled by some of the comments that have been left. It doesn't matter if she was drinking or not, a fellow student has gone missing in a town I used to feel safe in. As a 5'3" female, I now feel as though it's too dangerous to walk a couple blocks in town without a buddy of some kind. This is the issue at hand, not drinking in a college town. I, along with other female students, should feel safe in Bloomington, which is why the community needs to come together in a time like this and not point fingers.
My heart goes out to this family. I am praying for Lauren's safe return
ReplyDeleteSo she is 20... and was at Kilroys... anyone realize the drinking age is 21 for a reason????
