NEW YORK - The
teenage daughter of the late pop icon Michael Jackson was reportedly
hospitalized after a suicide attempt.
Celebrity website TMZ reported that Paris Jackson, 15, was
rushed from her home in Calabasas, Calif.,
to a hospital at about 2 a.m. on Wednesday.
TMZ sited sources who said Jackson had cut her wrists using
a meat cleaver.
Late Tuesday night, Jackson posted two cryptic Tweets: "i wonder why tears are salty ?"
and "yesterday , all my troubles seemed so far away now it looks as though
they're here to stay."
Jackson, the second child of the so-called 'King of Pop' and
ex-wife Debbie Rowe, was reportedly doing OK.
Rowe confirmed to Entertainment Tonight that Paris Jackson
was hospitalized.
People.com quoted a spokesman for the Los Angeles County
Fire Department as saying paramedics responded to a 911 call at 1:27 a.m. at
the Jackson home "regarding a possible overdose."
TMZ reported that Jackson had taken a large number of Motrin
pills.
