Lindsay Lohan sentenced to 30 days in jail for violating probation

Lindsay Lohan has been sentenced to 30 days in county jail after admitting that she violated her probation by not keeping up with court-mandated community service.

If she completes a series of additional court-ordered community service and psychotherapy, she can avoid serving an additional 270 days.

If she fails to comply with the new court orders, she would have to serve the remainder of her sentence.

The 25-year-old actress arrived at court about 10 minutes early on Wednesday.

Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner revoked Lohan’s probation two weeks ago after the actress was terminated from a community service assignment at a women’s shelter.

The “Mean Girls” star has since been performing community service at the county morgue.

A city prosecutor is advocating the starlet be sent back to jail for her latest violation of a court order. She remains on probation for a 2007 drunken driving case and a misdemeanor theft case.

Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner has expressed exasperation with Lohan’s behavior and has asked prosecutors to figure out how much jail time Lohan could receive

  1. She was not immediately put behind bars because the judge decided to allow her time to complete her nude photo shoot for Playboy
