Kate Middleton pregnant, Mazal Tov

A new report claims Kate Middleton is pregnant, but a palace spokesman cautioned about rumors in the heir.

In Touch magazine reported Wednesday that Prince William and his bride of nearly seven months are around six weeks pregnant with their first child.

Citing an unnamed palace insider, the magazine said Middleton, 29, is now preparing three royal nurseries at various residences including Kensington Palace.

We never confirm or deny these rumors. This is about the millionth [pregnancy\] report we've had. If it were true, you'd hear the announcement from us and not a gossip magazine in the U.S.," Miguel Head, an official palace spokesman for Middleton, told the Daily News.

Still, In Touch said its source has been right before, correctly revealing the couple's honeymoon plans and the queen's wedding gift to Middleton.

Since before they even got married, it's been made clear to William and Kate that having children should be their number-one priority," the source told In Touch, referring to alleged hints from Queen Elizabeth II.

The source said the glamorous, modern newlyweds are hoping for a girl since a new rule of succession approved this year means their first-born child - no matter the gender - will succeed to the throne ahead of younger siblings.

[Prince William\] is very much his mother's son, and he also knows that his father, Prince Charles, would like a granddaughter," the insider told In Touch.

Whether or not the rumor is true, the couple is preparing for a six-week separation next year when Prince William, 29, is sent to the Falkland Islands as a search and rescue pilot in the Royal Air Force.
