Amanda Bynes arrested in Manhattan

NEW YORK - Actress Amanda Bynes was arrested Thursday for allegedly smoking marijuana in the lobby of her Midtown Manhattan building, police said.

The troubled celebrity is also accused of throwing her "drug paraphernalia" out her window on the 36th floor, according to the NYPD.

Authorities charged her with tampering with evidence, reckless endangerment, and marijuana possession.

She was taken to a hospital for an evaluation, according to some reports.

Once a rising star who appeared in some hit TV shows and movies, Bynes has lately been Tweeting bizarre photos and comments. InTouch Weekly reported that her Manhattan apartment has blacked-out windows and "disheveled living conditions."
