LACKAWAXEN TWP. - An East Brunswick, N.J., man is awaiting extradition to Pennsylvania for a crime allegedly committed while a counselor at Camp Menachem in summer 2001.
In summer 2012, a teenage boy came forward to police and reported having been assaulted by Aryeh Goodman, 30, while at camp in 2001, state police said.
State police obtained an arrest warrant, and Mr. Goodman was taken into custody by the Middlesex County sheriff's office in New Jersey on Friday.
He is in Middlesex County Prison, state police said.

Frum molesters going wild, wow the prisons will be full
wait to judge... the allegations have not been confirmed and there has been no trial

dan lekaf zechut(zchus) aka assume he is Innocent until proven guilty
and though i do believe he is innocent, to address your statement that Frum molesters are going wild and that the prisons will be full being "frum" has nothing to do with child molestation. There have been non "frum" jews and gentiles as well who have assaulted children
i just really think it is so important to remember that we are not the ultimate judge - we are so lucky to not have this incredibly tough job. Thank Gd, we have a Gd, and He will take care of everything. Gd has also put police in place to handle situations such as these. I too believe his innocence, but that is neither here nor there. I think we could take many steps forward if we remember not to judge and leave that job up to Gd. Either way, this situation is horrible - obviously if he really is guilty there are no words to describe the sadness, and if he is innocent, his name and reputation have already been dragged through the mud. Please Gd, May we only see happy times in the future.

ReplyDeleteIf this "accuser" was 12 at the time of the alleged assault which is alleged to have taken place in 2001 (as in the complaint), please explain how "[i]n Summer 2012, he was "a teenage boy."
