Armed man shoots and wounds livery cab driver during Bronx robbery


A goateed gunman was caught on surveillance tape moments before shooting a livery-cab driver in The Bronx early Sunday morning, police said.

The thug first whipped out a gun and threatened driver Raphael Martinez, 54,in his cab around 5:10 a.m. at White Plains Road and Lafayette Avenue in the Soundview section, authorities said.

He then fired off five bullets, striking Martinez twice, police said.

The perp fled.

The victim was hospitalized in stable condition.
