WAWARSING - A man who
worked at a local summer camp has been arrested for trying to sell personal and
confidential information of families served by the camp, according to police.

Teamsaid Victor H. Schneider, 53, of 91 Webster Lock Road, Rosendale,
was charged as a result of the investigation that began in December 2013 at
Camp Rav Tov in Wawarsing.
Police said Schneider, a maintenance worker at the camp,
attempted to sell the personal information of campers and their parents, and
undercover officers made at least three purchases from Schneider during the
investigation.
Police said information about more than 50 individuals was contained in the data purchased by the officers.

Police said no individuals’ identities were compromised and
all information was recovered by URGENT.
Schneider was charged with felony grand larceny, felony
criminal possession of stolen property and misdemeanor unlawful possession of
personal identification information.
He was arraigned in Ulster Town Court and sent to the Ulster
County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bail.
Camp Rav Tov is run by a Brooklyn-based Hasidic Jewish group
and has several locations in the Catskills.
