GRAND PRAIRIE, TX - Authorities are still investigating a
fiery 18-wheeler crash in Grand Prairie.
According to WFAA, surveillance cameras were rolling
Saturday when an 18-wheeler crashed through the guardrails on Interstate 30 and
plunged onto the President George Bush Turnpike below.
The North Texas Tollway Authority released the video that
shows the semi smashing into the northbound and southbound lanes of the
turnpike, narrowly missing other motorists.
The vehicles slam on their brakes
to avoid the wreckage as all traffic comes to a halt.
Several motorists get out of their cars and run towards the
fiery crash to help, but there is little they could do.
The semi's driver, 59-year-old James Anthony Long of Clarksville, TN, was killed in the crash. The cause of his death remains under investigation.

It is not clear why the truck left the highway.
