Two police officers arrested for 2009 upper East Side assault
Two police officers were arrested Tuesday for assaulting a man on the upper East Side last year, cops said.
Officers Sean Hurley, 42, and Brian Murphy, 38, were both charged for a fight that occurred in June 2009, cops said.
Police would not release any more information about the arrests Tuesday night, except to say the cops were off duty.
Hurley, of Police Service Area 9 in Queens, and Murphy, who works in the Brooklyn Court Section, were both suspended without pay for 30 days, cops said.
The were released after each paid a $120 fine in Manhattan Criminal Court

If these 2 cops hit a man with a beer mug and punched him than why were they allowed to pead out to a violation? This is felony assault. In justice served again. Guess it is another down grade in crime.
