A Dutch foursome - three of them Dutch embassy employees - were busted for assaulting four cops after refusing to pay their tab at a Greenwich Village bar, prosecutors charged Monday.
Kristopher Rendon, 31, and Rob Van Der Hoek, 30, and two women were arrest early Sunday morning as they tried to leave Arthur's Tavern on Grove Street without paying a $300 tab.
"We were willing to pay, you just couldn't pay with a credit card," a bruised-looking Rendon, 31, protested as he left Manhattan Criminal Court Monday after being arraigned on felony assault charges.
Van Der Hoek and the women, Lenneke Veeniage, 26, and Roose Kouwenhoven, are employees of the Washington, D.C., Royal Netherlands Embassy, said a spokesman, but they do not have have diplomatic immunity.
Van Der Hoek, who suffered purple welts, was also charged with felony assault. The men were each released on $1,500 bail.
The women face misdemeanor charges, including resisting arrest.
Prosecutors said three cops were badly injured in the 1:30 a.m. dust-up.
According to court papers, Rendon and Van Der Hoek punched Police Officer Andrew Smith in the face and Veeniage jumped on the cop.
Van Der Hoek also repeatedly punched a second cop, Matthew Tocco, resulting in bruising and pain and a chipped tooth. He also injured another cop, Arthur Truscelli.
A fourth cop, Damien Drisco, broke a finger as Van Der Hoek resisted arrest, officials said.
