Coca Cola Israel Undergoes Anti-Trust Authority Investigations

The Anti-Trust Authority has opened an investigation into possible violations of the restrictions imposed on the monopoly power of the Central Bottling Company Ltd. (Coca Cola Israel) in the soft drink beverage market.  The investigation was launched covertly a few weeks ago.

Several of the company’s executives have been called in for hearings since the investigations became public this past Monday, including Coca Cola Israel’s president, Ronnie Kobrovsky and CEO Itzik Tamir.

Coca Cola has allegedly offered conditions to Tara Dairy Ltd. to promote sales by offering trading conditions on Coca Cola and other brands, which are said to have taken place both in retail and wholesale markets, such as café chain franchises
