Katy Perry's Dad Made Anti-Semitic Comments In Front Of His Church
Katy Perry’s minister father has stunned worshippers at his Ohio church after making controversial remarks about Jewish people.
According to The Sun the 63-year-old from Ohio made the remarks to hundreds of his worshippers in a recent sermon. He reportedly said: “You know how to make the Jew jealous? Have some money, honey.”
He added: “You go to LA and they own all the Rolex and diamond places. Walk down a part of LA where we live and it is so rich it smells. You ever smell rich? They are all Jews, hallelujah. Amen.”
The shocking anti-Semitic comments couldn’t have come at a worse time for
his daughter Katy who is in hiding following her shock split from husband of 14 months Russell Brand. The 36-year-old British actor filed for divorce from the ‘I Kissed A Girl’ singer shortly after Christmas. Though neither have claimed responsibility for the split, Russell claimed he missed his womanising days shortly before the divorced was announced.
Both of Katy’s parents Keith and Mary Hudson are ministers at Church on the Rise in Westlake, Ohio and have spoken out about the divorce in their sermons, claiming it is a ‘gift from god’ to bring more people to the church.
