Members of a U.S. Marshals Service fugitive task force arrested Arthur Morgan III in San Diego on Tuesday.
Morgan was wanted in New Jersey in connection with the death of his 2-year-old daughter, whose body was found still strapped in her car seat in a creek in Shark River Park in Monmouth County.
Police believe Morgan threw Tierra Morgan-Glover from a bridge while he had her during a court-approved visit on November 21.
New Jersey authorities told U.S. Marshals in San Diego that Morgan might be staying with friends in that area.
Tierra was buried Monday.
