A 36-year-old pregnant woman was struck and killed by a
snowplow in Brooklyn during Thursday's storm, but doctors were able to save her
baby, police said.
The woman was hit by the plow in the parking lot of a
supermarket on Eighth Avenue in Sunset Park.
She was taken to the hospital, where she died. Doctors
performed a cesarean section and her baby boy is in stable but critical condition,
police said.
The plow was not city-owned, authorities said.
