A New Jersey police officer with a history of disciplinary
issues reportedly firebombed the home of his supervisor, authorities said.
Michael Dotro, 35, a 10-year veteran of the Edison Police
Department, allegedly used an incendiary device to set fire to the Monroe
Township home of Edison Police Department Capt. Mark Anderko while Anderko and
his family slept at around 4 a.m. Monday, NJ.com reports.
Anderko, his wife, his two children and his 92-year-old
mother escaped unharmed, but the two-story colonial-style home was heavily
damaged.
Acting Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew Carey said the
investigation was ongoing. A judge set bail at $5 million cash, NJ.com reports.
Dotro’s attorney, Lawrence Bitterman, said he was stunned by
the arrest.
