Each individual will receive wine and shmurah matzah.
This has become the minhag with the admor, beginning two years ago. In past years, thousands made their way to Ashdod for the event. Organizers report that they are planning for distribution to 15,000 individuals.
A security company has been hired for the event, also to work with police on traffic control.
Kikar Shabbat reports that while this event is ongoing, the Rabbi’s Shuvu Yisrael organization Kimcha D’Pischa fund will complete its pre-yomtov distribution of assistance to 12,000 families.
They will each receive a delivery to their door containing 92 Pesach food items.
An area was rented to permit the workers to package the orders and on Thursday night, when they complete the final packaging, semitrailers will take the cartons to their next destination.
The rav feels this will permit them to receive the assistance while avoiding the embarrassment that accompanies have to go and wait on line seeking food for yomtov.
