UPDATE 9:38AM (Monday): Sources tell T.O.T. that the child
has just been found.
UPDATE 9:58AM: KIRYAS JOEL – Searchers combed the woods all night long
Sunday into Monday morning for a missing 10-year-old autistic boy who walked
away from his home in the Village of Kiryas Joel and at mid-morning, Trooper
David Harter found the boy soaked but apparently okay.
State troopers on the ground, with the assistance of K-9
units, and in the air with helicopters searched all night long. Volunteer
firefighters and village residents, including students also searched the area
for Simon Zorger, who had been missing for roughly 19 hours.
The child was taken to Westchester Medical Center for
observation.
