With a police cruiser parked in the driveway, a woman passes the home of developer John Magee Jr. and his wife Geraldine in Andover, Mass.,
Police are investigating the mysterious execution-style murders of a wealthy Massachusetts couple -- and some leads point to the mob, ABC News reported.
Jack and Geraldine Magee, both in their late 60s, were found dead in their multi-million dollar mansion by their daughter and grandchildren Wednesday morning.
The kids -- ages 4 and 8 -- ran in the home eager to see their grandparents and stumbled upon the grisly scene, according to the Boston Globe.
The Magees were both shot in the neck, and police found that the bullets went through the floor and into the basement.
The couple's luxury SUV was found in flames 25 miles from their home Tuesday night, in Boston's North End -- an area that has been connected with mob activity.
Jack Magee owned a high-end construction business, and the couple was well-respected among their friends.
"I have searched my soul, but I can't think of a single person who could have a grudge against them," Paul Mercadetti, a friend of the Magees, told the Globe.
Police said they have no suspects so far, according to the Boston Herald.
The affluent neighborhood where the murders took place was on lock down until Friday afternoon.
