Jerusalem - Court Remands 4th Yad Vashem Graffiti Suspect To Custody

Jerusalem - The fourth suspect arrested in connection with graffiti and vandalism attacks at Yad Vashem and other memorials across the country was remanded in the Jerusalem Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

Defense lawyer Yair Nehorai argued that the Bnei Barak resident suffers from schizophrenia and was in a special yeshiva framework for students with mental illnesses.

Judge Shimon Feinberg denied the request to release him to house arrest and extended his remand until Sunday. Feinberg also ordered further psychiatric testing.

Three other suspects arrested earlier in connection with the graffiti attacks were remanded on Tuesday in the Magistrate’s court, one of whom was released to house arrest.
