Mr Strauss-Kahn with his wife Anne Sinclair,
Ex-IMF head Dominique Strauss-Kahn will be grilled about his alleged involvement in an illegal prostitution ring, Agence France Presse reported.
He’s suspected of participating in a ring that organized sex parties at restaurants and swingers clubs in Washington, Paris, Madrid, Vienna, and Ghent, Austria.
Strauss-Kahn was busted in New York last year on charged he raped a maid at the Sofitel Hotel, charges that were later dropped amid doubts about the woman’s credibility. He still faces a lawsuit by the maid.
Several people in the French city of Lille have already been charged with organizing the prostitution ring, which authorities say was operating out of the area’s luxury hotels, according to AFP.
French media have reported that Strauss-Kahn attended parties at a Paris hotel with the suspected kingpin of the prostitution ring, who runs massage parlors in Belgium — parties where Lille’s chief of police was also a guest.
Strauss-Kahn could face charges if he knew the women were prostitutes and the money used to pay them was fraudulently obtained, according to AFP. French authorities plan to haul him in for questioning on Tuesday.
