Mea Shearim Haredi Gang stab man in Jerusalem

Avraham Hirschman was walking home to Batei Warsaw in Mea Shearim.
But he didn't make it. Ten masked haredim jumped out of a truck and beat Hirschman with clubs and metal spikes, leaving him lying in the street in a pool of blood a few blocks from his home with a multiple stab wounds and a head injury. The attack is said to be related to the fight between the haredi street gang the Sicarii and Ger hasidim over control of the Batei Warsaw houses.

The victim, Avraham Hirschman, is apparently a leader of the Sicarii and is responsible for violent attacks against Ger hasidim – including an attack on the son of the Gerrer rebbe. He is also responsible for the attacks on the Ohr HaChaim bookstore and is probably the man behind the death threats against Israel's Deputy Health Minister, Gerrer hasid Rabbi Yaakov Litzman.

Hirschman was attacked by a gang of 20 Gerrer hasidim who were riding in a commercial truck. They spotted Hirschman walking and attacked him.

Hirschman is reportedly in serious condition at Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital with internal bleeding, fractures, and head injuries.

אמש (ג) הגיחה קבוצת רעולי פנים ממשאית לא-מזוהה, התנפלו על אברך תושב האזור, אברהם הירשמן, ברחוב צפניה פינת רחוב יונה בשכונת גאולה בירושלים.

האלמונים לא הסתפקו בחבטות יד, אלא היכו בו באלות ודוקרנים.

עד ראייה מספר ל'בחדרי חרדים': "לפחות עשרה אנשים ירדו מהמשאית ופשוט 'פירקו' את האברך שלא יכול היה להתגונן. המראה היה מזעזע, הלמו בו באלות ואגרופנים באכזריות. הוא זעק לעזרה אך אנשים חששו להתקרב ונמלטו מהמקום", סיפר.

יוסי רפאלי, מתנדב 'איחוד הצלה' ותושב גאולה, מספר ל'בחדרי חרדים': "קיבלתי דיווח על אירוע אלים בצומת הרחובות יונה וצפניה. הגעתי למקום, ומצאתי אברך חרדי כבן שלושים, כשהוא שוכב על הרצפה ומדמם בכל חלקי גופו. הענקתי לו - יחד עם מתנדבים נוספים - טיפול ראשוני ואחר-כך הוא פונה לבית החולים".

כתב 'בחדרי חרדים' ששהה באזור בזמן האירוע מדווח כי מספר תושבים זיהו את הפצוע וכי מדובר באברהם הירשמן, בן 30, סיקריק ותושב שכונת בתי ורשא.

לפי ההערכות, הרקע לתקרית הינו המאבק בין קבוצת הסיקריקים שהירשמן הינו אחד מאנשיה, לחסידי גור, סביב השליטה על שכונת בתי-ורשא.

המשטרה פתחה בחקירת האירוע.
