Mrs. Fishman snapped this photo of a total stranger sleeping in her car on Dahill Rd. Sunday morning and posted it on Facebook
Brooklyn, NY - Judy Fischmann, a Brooklyn based children’s and family photographer , captured perhaps her most unusual subject on film yesterday. A total stranger, fast asleep in her car.
Mrs. Fischmann, who lives on Dahill Road in Flatbush, went out to her Honda Odyssey at 8 AM Sunday and discovered a young Hispanic man sleeping soundly in the front passenger seat of her minivan.
“I thought he was dead,” said Mrs. Fischmann. “Then I saw him move. First I ran inside and got my camera. Then I called the police.”
Police officers who responded to Fischmann’s 911 call woke the man, who apparently found Mrs. Fischmann’s unlocked car to be an ideal spot to sleep off a drinking binge. Nothing was missing from the minivan and the man, who was released by police, was not charged with any crime.
Mrs. Fischmann, a mother of five, plans on taking her car to be detailed today, saying “no one want to sit in that seat.”
Turning a humorous anecdote into a safety lesson, Mrs. Fischmann told us “Lesson learned – lock your car doors!”
i have to agree lock your doors guys!!! (well only if you have hispanic people in your area)lol
