Crown Heights, NY - Four children have been arrested with
connection to a string of “knockout” violence attacks in Brooklyn.
DNAinfo New York reports the NYPD
said a 14-year-old girl and three other kids ages 10 and 11 were arrested in
connection with three attacks that took place in October and November.
Deputy Inspector George Fitzgibbon, Commanding Office of the
71st precinct stated the victims of the attacks included an 11-year-old boy who
was punched, a child hit with a rock walking home from school, and another
child who was “mushed” in the face with a plastic bag.
While nothing was ever said regarding bias to the victims
during the investigation, Fitzgibbon stated, “The only commonality is that
basically all the victims were Jewish.”

It wasn’t immediately clear to investigators if the violent
attacks were related to “knockout game” violence, when teens sucker-punch
unsuspecting victims, then leave the scene without stealing any items.
The three children were arrested between Nov. 13 and Nov.
23. They are charged with assault, endangerment and criminal mischief,
Fitzgibbon said.
Their names are being withheld due to their ages. The older
girl is being processed through the Family Court system. Updates on all three
were not immediately available.
Police are still investigating several other possible
knockout incidents involving the elderly.
